About our Baseball and Softball Programs
A Tradition of Excellence Since 1955
The Forest Hills Youth Athletic Association (FHYAA) Baseball and Softball program has been a cornerstone of the Forest Hills community for 70 years. Our commitment to providing a positive and nurturing environment for young athletes has made us one of the premier youth baseball and softball programs in Queens.
Our Mission
At FHYAA, we believe that sports are more than just games. They are an opportunity to learn valuable life lessons, build character, and make lifelong friends. Our program focuses on:
- Player Development: We strive to develop well-rounded athletes, emphasizing fundamentals, technique, and sportsmanship.
- Education: We promote academic achievement and encourage our players to balance their athletic pursuits with their studies.
- Fun: We create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere where kids can have fun and make memories.
- Community: We foster a strong sense of community, bringing together families and friends from all over Queens.
A Legacy of Success
We are proud to have produced numerous talented athletes who have gone on to play at the highest levels of baseball and softball. One of our most notable alumni is Olivia Pichardo, who made history as the first female player to play Division I baseball at Brown University. Olivia also represented the USA on the Women's National Baseball Team in 2022.
Join the FHYAA Tradition
Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, FHYAA has a place for you. Our program is open to all children in Queens, regardless of skill level or experience.
